A rare and elusive Sam trip, get while the getting is good. Things are really snowy and wet right now – ideal trail running conditions. This trip is beginner-ish friendly, meaning if you’re new to trail running, great! If you’re new to running in general, not so great! We’ll be doing 5 miles if I don’t get lost (unlikely) so be prepared to run 7. We’re running the race course for the Sugarloaf trail race in July which goes to South Sugarloaf – no not the one with the road and the tower, the one right behind it. Beautiful single track and switch backs, a real hidden gem.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Some running experience
- Running shoes (preferably with decent traction)
- Willingness to get your feet very wet
- A hint of masochism
- A water bottle (for before/after, we won’t run with them)
- A guest swipe for me afterward :)
This trip is anti-cotton. Don’t show up wearing cotton. It will make you cold and sad. Also bears are attracted to cotton. This trip is also anti-bear-attack.
My car can fit 5 and as always, will be full of complementary Yerba Mate
Location
South Sugarloaf, Sunderland
